Insomnia or poor quality of sleep is a common symptom of fibromyalgia. While you try coping with fibromyalgia, it is important that you take enough care to sleep on time, even if you cannot have quality sleep by that time. Do not take any abrupt steps for sleeping. Take natural supplements to support your sleep, but do not depend on any knock-out sleeping pills that do not offer any good results.
Since stress is one of the major characteristics of fibromyalgia syndrome, you must know how to relax and free your mind from stressful experiences. In fact, relaxation is one of the most important techniques for coping with fibromyalgia. Practice deep diaphragm breathing, instead of chest breathing. Your deep breathing must accompany guided imagery, during which you will mentally visualize beautiful objects, scenes and events to soothe your mind.
Never promote a sedentary lifestyle. Sedentary lifestyle triggers out sensation of pain and other related health complications. Sitting in front of your computer may help you to earn money or to have some entertainment in life, but it can not be considered as a good strategy for coping with fibromyalgia.
